Nesting
I haven't really been writing much lately, well, because there is nothing really to report on the adoption front. We are still waiting and have now been told that we will need to travel to Ethiopia twice before bringing our baby home. At first, the idea of going twice stressed me out and seemed like a burden. Now the thought of it actually excites me. First of all, we will get to see, hold, love our baby sooner than we thought we would be able to-what a blessing! We will also be able to experience the Ethiopian culture first hand a couple, instead of once in a whirlwind, of times which is amazing. For some reason hearing that we were going to get to go twice renewed my excitement for the whole thing-for some reason it seems sooner and more real now:) I have started "nesting", if you will, getting ready for the baby to come home. We got Jackson a big boy bed and told him the baby will be sleeping it the crib. He got really excited about a baby coming but can't quite wrap his head around why the baby can't come now! I was also inspired (thanks Kristen) to use eco friendly diapers this time around and got excited while looking at the gdiaper website!!! You know you are ready for baby #2 when the thought of diapers give you a thrill:) Not much more to report for now...

Wow, that is big and exciting news! I can't wait to hear about your trip! Have you been matched with a baby yet? We need to catch up soon!
ReplyDeleteBTW- I have totally switched to cloth diapers and love them! I was actually just ordering the last ones which should complete our supply!
I am so happy that things are beginning to move along for you guys. God knows exactly the child that he has for you. A child he has chosen specifically because he or she needs you and Ben to be his or her Mommy and Daddy. Not to mention Jackson to be the awesome big brother! :)
Oh yeah, and two slobbery pups too!
